Our process

case study

NuEnd Consulting is a specialist project advisory practice, delivering tailored services to both private and government sectors in Australia. We assemble and lead teams to achieve successful outcomes for building and infrastructure projects in any environment.

Understanding your needs

service

Our primary task is to understand your objective: - where you want your project to finish.

This is the beginning point of our project management service. We will achieve this through discussions with you and listening to your plans. We will talk to and listen to your team.

We will assess the elements you have assembled to this point and confirm with you that we understand the outcomes you want.

Project Scoping and Strategic Planning

Once we know where you want your project to go we will scope your project and undertake the strategy planning that will get you there.

We will consider the steps that the team needs to take to reach your final end-point. We will consider the legislative framework, environmental and cultural framework, stakeholders that need to be communicated with and how that will be managed, resource allocation, property and planning issues, to mention just a few.

During this phase of the project we will undertake a risk analysis of the project and devise suitable mitigation to reduce those risks to acceptable levels. Where this cannot be achieved you will receive our advice accordingly.

At this stage, we will seek your feedback and further input to ensure we have considered your needs.

Delivery

The next phase in the process is the delivery phase.

The first task in this phase is assemble a team to document the project and produce tender documents. We will meet with you and review these documents, to again ensure your needs are being met and that the outcomes of the project will be ideal.

Procurement is usually undertaken by selective or open tender but will be entirely dependent upon your requirements. We will conduct the tender process and in conjunction with the design team evaluate the tenders based on the key selection criteria agreed with you during the project scoping and planning phase. We will provide a recommendation on the preferred supplier/contractor for your acceptance.

Contract documents will be prepared, usually based on Australian Standard contracts however if the procurement is of an unusual nature specialist legal advice will be obtained. You, the client will enter into the contract with the selected contractor or supplier.

Nuend Consulting will superintend the contract and provide you with regular reports on progress and issues arising. We will seek your acceptance before any variations are agreed.

Depending on your organisational and funding requirements we will, following completion of the project, review the project and provide a report on the outcomes and issues that meets both your needs and those of your stakeholders.

The report will be summary of all the above phases and a financial summary of the budget and expenses of the project. It will assess the success of the project against your original outcomes determined in the initial consultation phase.
